Meaning behind the art: Though the week I tried to stay aware of a color that might be making it self-present and this week nothing was coming. I had to pull out my drawer of papers and sort through the till I was attracted to the piece of paper that was the bottom of a white lunch bag painted with dark yellow/green. From there I pulled the rest of the papers to work with in this piece. The placement of the square piece tilted isnt something I would normally do. Let say, I wanted to add some interest to an abstract piece of color, line, value and shape. After it was laid out and tacked down with the tack iron, I got all excited and pulled out the sewing machine. I added a few zigzags and some straight stitches to bring in another element. The repeated circle on the paper with the graphite crayon gave me the idea of Whirling around. A practice in composition, design and you have Lunch bag Whirl
