Description
Within the grounds of a hidden garden in Phuket, Thailand, lay a small pond. In this pond were some of the most vibrant and intensely colored water lilies I have ever seen. The lily is of special spiritual significance to people all over the world, especially those that practice Buddhism.
I was also lucky enough to have found these amazing lilies as they were in full bloom. The birds and the bees were active that day, evidence of pollination can be seen all over the stamens of this particularly bright lily. This macro shot was a challenge due to the windy conditions of the day but my patience was rewarded with this image.
