These studies attempt to capture the romance of the ball room dance hall in a contemporary, gestural and impressionistic style. The blacks and whites of the suits and dresses contrasting with golden lights of the hall.

“I’ve created art for as long as I can remember. What drives it is something I can never fully define as it always eludes me. All I know is that every piece I create is an attempt to give some form to that driving force in whatever shape it currently occupies. Figurative work, particularly of people and animals has been perennial in my art. I love the traditional skills of the past but always try add a contemporary feel to each picture, blending the old with the new.
