J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite author and a major influence in my life and imagination. I was introduced to his writing as a young boy and have read and re-read all of his work multiple times. The wonder and imagery he created and the sense of history that made his Middle Earth so real has been, at least to me, the hallmark of his gift.
