This little beauty is called a "Dead Blow Hammer", which to my imagination leads to a lot of dark corners of the mind. Would that not make such a wonderful title for a thriller? You could easily turn that into a story of a serial killer, or a man driven to vengeance for the loss of his pencil box as a child. Sends shivers up my spine. In the real world it has a much more innocent purpose. The head is made of hard rubber with a hollow cavity, in which a fair amount of steel shot is held. The idea behind it is that when you strike a blow with the hammer, it does not bounce nor does it cause scaring like a solid iron head hammer would. It comes in handy for a lot of tasks that need the weight of a hammer, but not the damage it could create. Unless you are bonking heads, then it just gets weird. -YoPedro
My latest images here on FAA/PIX are primarily A.I. based with a dose of manipulation tossed in. The images are not photographs, the people are not real nor are any of the stories attached to the images. It's all a craftsman's manufactured world of images and tales, of people I have never met, places I have never been, and things I have never seen or done. It's all an illusion, what I like to call 'Pixel Farming'.
