If we look deeply enough upon a single flower it can teach us everything there is to know about the world. One day the Buddha held up a single flower and smiled. While gazing at the flower one of his disciples immediately understood the hidden teachings within this simple act. That disciple became the founder of Zen Buddhism which relies less on words and more on intuitive knowing and direct seeing.
